Heavy rains and strong winds can cause downed power lines. Never go near a downed power line.  Stay as far away as possible. All downed lines should be treated as if they are “live”.  Never touch or move a downed line or try to remove a line from trees.  Even a “dead” line may be re-energized at any time and all downed lines should be reported to Talquin immediately at (850) 627-7651.  Never try to assist a person who has come into contact with an energized line; call 911 immediately.
