The 82nd Annual Meeting of the Membership of Talquin Electric Cooperative, Inc. will be held virtually on Saturday, April 30, 2022.
Due to last year’s success with mail-in voting, Talquin’s Board of Trustees elected to again utilize mail-in voting for the 2022 Trustee elections. The business portion of the meeting will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2022. The virtual business portion will be accessible at that time through Talquin’s website, www.talquinelectric.com, or Facebook page In-person attendance at the virtual business portion of the meeting will not be available.
Per Article III, Section 5 of the Cooperative Bylaws, each Member shall be entitled to only one ballot. Joint Memberships are allowed only one ballot, whether separately or jointly. Only persons who are Members of the Cooperative are allowed to vote. A spouse or family member cannot vote in the place of the Member.
Included in your Annual Meeting Notice is your mail-in ballot and a pre-paid, addressed return envelope. Survey & Ballot Systems, a third party election management firm, will count ballots. Please do not drop off or mail any ballots to Talquin offices.
Only ballots received by Survey & Ballot Systems by April 20, 2022 will be counted. For replacement ballots, please email Talquin at memberfeedback@talquinelectric.com.
There will be prize drawings after the business portion of the Annual Meeting!
Prizes include a flat screen TV, four (4) $250 bill credits, and two (2) $500 bill credits.
Attendance during the virtual business portion of the meeting is not required to participate in prize drawings—prize winners are selected from all registered Members who participate in mail-in voting. At the virtual portion of the Annual Meeting, the drawing will be conducted, and the name and street address for each winner will be announced. Winners will be contacted after the meeting.
