OUTAGE UPDATE (8/5/24, 1:00PM): At this time, over 19,000 services are without power due to Hurricane Debby affecting our territories. This number may fluctuate as the storm progresses. Talquin crews, along with mutual aid crews, are working safely and diligently to restore power as quickly as possible. We are also experiencing outages at the following substations due to issues with the transmission service to these substations:
· Baker
· Chaires
· Hilliardville
· Miccosukee
· Shadeville
· Wakulla

The transmission service is provided by Duke Energy, which is working thoroughly to assess the damage and restore service as safely and quickly as possible. While we do not yet have a specific restoration timeframe from Duke Energy, we are maintaining constant communication with them.

Please note that once transmission issues are resolved to these substations, localized outages will then be addressed and estimated times of restoral will be shared as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this period. We will provide further updates as soon as more information becomes available.
