As our community prepares for Hurricane Helene, Talquin is working diligently to keep everyone safe. Wakulla County has issued a county-wide mandatory evacuation for no later than 8:00 AM on Thursday, September 26.
Talquin will begin disconnecting power and pulling electric meters south of HWY 98 in the following locations: Live Oak Island, Shell Point, Oyster Bay, and Spring Creek starting around 3:00 PM on Wednesday, September 25. We encourage you to stay safe and informed of evacuation notices for your area and plan an evacuation route in advance.
