Lead Service Line Inventory Inspections

Talquin Water is conducting required inspections as part of our Lead Service Line Inventory. WSN Construction will be inspecting meter boxes across the Annawood, Leon County East, Leon County South, Meridian Hills, Riversink, and Stonegate Water Systems.

In November 2024, some Talquin Water and Wastewater Members may have received a “Notice of Unknown Service Line Material” letter. Talquin is now conducting required inspections as part of our Lead Service Line Inventory to ensure the continued safety and reliability of our water system. To complete this work, Talquin has contracted with WSN Construction, a professional third-party contractor, to inspect meter boxes across the following Water Systems: Annawood, Leon County East, Leon County South, Meridian Hills, Riversink, and Stonegate. Contractors will be inspecting the meter box on each property to verify service line materials.

During the inspection, contractors will remove any debris from the meter box to expose the service line material going into and coming out of the meter, take a photo of the service, and then replace the meter box lid. Each inspection should take only a few minutes per location, depending on the amount of debris present.

Work is scheduled to be completed in November and December of 2025. Contractors will be identifiable and authorized to perform this work on Talquin’s behalf. No interruption to water service is expected.
