Hurricane Debby Update (10:30AM 8/5/24)

| Alerts

As Hurricane Debby slows down, it will prolong impacts in our region, particularly with heavy rainfall. Parts of our service territory are expected to receive 6 to 12 inches of rain. This could result in flash flooding and river flooding, which could be life-threatening.

Flooding can also delay power restoration efforts. Our crews may be unable to reach certain locations due to flooded roads and dangerous conditions. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.

⛈️ Flooding Safety Tips ⛈️

☂️ Stay Informed: Monitor weather updates and alerts.
☂️ Avoid Flooded Areas: Never walk or drive through flooded streets.
☂️ Seek Higher Ground: Move to higher ground immediately if you’re in a low-lying area.
☂️ Follow Official Guidance: Adhere to instructions from local authorities.

Your safety is our priority. Stay safe and take all necessary precautions during this time.
